As everyone knows by now, i run a lot of sandra mips/mflops benchmarks on processors. I'm lacking a great deal of scores for thunderbird and pentium 4.
As far as pentium 4 is concerned, I have scores for speed at 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 ghz. For Tbird, only the speed of 750mhz is collected.
Around eighteen to two years ago I began tabulating all of the scores by buying the processors required. The trouble is, K7 core development is moving faster than good investment would allow to buy a board and hope it works on palomino. As a result, I must often call on other people to fill in the gaps of missing scores by taking scores from their porocessors and sandra.
The problem with that however, is that I end up with scores for odd bus and clock speeds. In an attempt to remedy this problem, I am reqritting all of my scores in a wide-rule Mead notebook with scores based upon the even/odd numbered stock speeds released. Occasionally I will included unreleased benchmarks of processors such as pentium classic 150 MHz, 100 fsb to be compared with other speeds of that line. Joe F's pentium 3 500@750 is a key example.
To make a long story short (too late), I was hoping to ask assistance from this bbs in filling in my missing scores for Si Soft Sandra's processor test. I know benchmarking with Sandra is tedious and boring especially when you have to reboot, change processor speed and test again. But the help provided in this effort would be exceedlingly useful.
well, there was my "please me. I'm in need" speech.
