Friend has a problem. She has a 900 Classic Athlon
Slot A in an Epox board. It's throwing errors
occasionaly. (It was doing some kind of
oscillating thing where it would work for 15
seconds, lock up for 10 seconds, then work for 15
seconds, etc.....
This also made the computer lose time on it's
clock settings! (Weird)
Anyway.....I looked at heat first. Running idle
with no screen saver, it is at 49C. (System temp
around 90F).
I have an Athlon Socket A 650. It runs at 37 to
39C idle. Do you think this is the culprit or this
and maybe the cheap-*** memory that came with it
combined?
I have it running with the case off now with her
looking for problems. (There is no other case fan
but the PS-fan so if it is heat I'll try an
additional case fan).
Give me your opinions please!
Thanks!
