I got my KT7AR with a 1.2 TB up and running. I let 98SE figure out all of the IRQ assignments and I was wondering if there would be any advantage to manually specifying what IRQ each piece of hardware shold be using.
Right now things are looking like this:
1 system timer
2 keyboard
3 com1
4 com2
5 GF2 Ultra
5 ACPI IRQ holder for PCI steering
6 Floppy (none installed)
7 LPT1
8 clock
9 Creative SB16 emulation (I do not need this)
10 NIC
10 ACPI IRQ.....
10 ACPI IRQ.....
10 USB controller
10 USB controller
11 ACPI IRQ......
11 Creative SB Live
11 HTP 370 udma/ata raid controller
11 sci IRQ used by pci bus
12 mouse
13 numeric data processor
14 primary ide controller
14 VIA bus master
15 secondary IDE
15 VIA bus master secondary IDE
I was just wondering if there was any advantage to say giving the sound card, raid controller and video card the same IRQ.
