A friend of mine just recently bough a prebuilt system from Compaq, Dell or one of those other clones. I just sent him my "old" Pioneer 303S SCSI DVD Drive (I think it is a 6X). My question is he has onboard video, and unfortunately the card doesn't have DVD decoding ability. So, how well would one of those Hollywood Plus Decoder cards work for his system? I think the minimum speed he has is a 600MHZ PIII.
I guess the other alternative is to purchase an old ATI 8MB PCI card. I remember my old AGP version of the Xpert 98 played DVD's very nicely.
