Tide thats exactly what happened to one of my IBM drives! Eventualy my drive started making that tik tik noise when you fired the system up from cold and someimes hung the system! Naturaly i've RMA'd the drive (with great difficulty) because the fault was intermittent.

I had a FT66, cant remember what settings i used though, ill take a look caus im thinking of digging it up )
