Hardware experiences

Little Celeron 400 O/C of '99

CPU TYPE:

INTEL-Celeron

INITIAL CPU SPEED
400 MHz

COOLING METHOD
The original (OEM) CPU fan

FINAL CPU SPEED
450 MHz

CPU SPEED PERFORMANCE AFTER OVERCLOCK: 112.5%

Needless to say, this overclock is nothing to be too proud of. Unfortunately for me at the time, my mobo was unable to support FSB speeds other than 66,75 and 100. So I was stuck between aiming for 75 x 6.0 MHz or 100 x 6.0 MHz. Since the 600MHz was pretty much unattainable (Sharky Extreme give it a 2% success rate), I ended up going for the humble 50MHz increase. 600MHz would be nice, but unfortunately I have neither luck nor liquid hydrogen on my side. :-(
