The situation:
Home PC is Windows 7 64bit with Canon i560 printer installed on USB. Works fine.
Old Acer Aspire One netbook with fresh WinXP Pro.
Trying to install the printer on the netbook.
The printer IS shared and worked fine when Win7 was on netbook (ran too slow for it though).
I can't get it installed on the netbook. I use "Add new printer" and find it through "Networked printer" no problem, but it tells me there aren't drivers for it (makes sense to me).
I have the WinXP driver installer from Canon, but it only looks for a local printer, won't find it network shared.
I connected it directly to the netbook and installed it no problem, but still can't do it networked.
I right-clicked the i560.inf file and selected "Install" but no help either.
Any ideas?
