Hello all
Was referred here by a buddy of mine..I'm having
some issues with internet service first thing in
the morning.. some mornings I dont seem to have
internet access? It takes me afew times rebooting
my computer to get it to work?? I have comcast
triple package(phone,internet,tv) Wire
Router in Dlink DGL-4100
Modem - Motorola DOCSIS 3.0
All lights look the same whether I can sign on or
not
Sometimes I try rebooting router and modem to
rectify problem,other time I can just shutdown
comp etc.. and turn back on and things will be ok
I have only one computer hooked up and a ps3,cable
tv seems to work fine,no issues,never lose
connection
What I did notice was when checking the "local
area connection status"
currently as Im typing it is "Bytes 7,617,595 sent
and 273.894,542 received"
when I cannot seem to connect it is usually 7+k
and 4+k
Computer is
windows xp 2002 version
service pack 3 home edition
Pentium dual-core cpu
e6300 @ 2.80ghz
2.80 ghz.2.00 gb ram
Atheros AR8131 PCI-E gigabit ethernet controller
Im having issues with downloading updates for
windows xp as well...there is like 4 updates that
dont seem to download,everytime I try to shutdown
the same freakin updates are there to install
Any ideas what it might be? Appreciate any
thoughts
