It's a Hitachi GD-S200 that IBM put in the ThinkPads way back then. Jan 2001 on drive. Opens, closes, spins, LED on. just Windows does not see it in use. strange. I'll try a disc cleaner soon. fun times. miss my little 14" DVD screen when I'm busy on line. thanks
