I am confident that Obama will not be the "nice" guy who can't get anything done. Aside from the fact that I think he is awfully smart (not just compared to GWB) he exudes this air of total confidence and authority from within that we have not seen in any Prez since JFK and that confidence will hopefully motivate others to get off their ass, roll up the sleeves and get things movoing again.

There is the old saying, wherever wood is getting planed, there will be shavings and those shavings are going to be the ones that will be crying wolf but we need to get rid of some of the ugly warts of the last 8 years for smoth sailing.

On the brigth side, has anyone noticed that the ads for guaranteed huge returns from pre-investing in off-shore drilling companies have overnight disappeared from the financial and airline mags? I mean, I found it ridiculous that in a time where everybody had to fasten the belt a little tighter, the oil companies were boosting record profits and trying to get even fatter by inflating the prices at the pump to sway people to support their next big coup.
