This is an update of my previous message with corrected instructions
specifically for SBC/AT&T subscribers. Unless you have more than one
machine with a network at home, you will not have to call anyone, per
the first part of the message. Just follow the instructions.
I do not use a router so I do not know if there is more to do if you are
on a network. If you are, you should still call your ISP to ask how to
make the changes.
If you share this with your friends, be VERY sure to cut and paste the
text to a new e-mail. If you send it to more than one person, be sure
to use BCC to conceal the recipient list.
For clarity, this is an EXPLOIT, not a virus. The difference is, an
EXPLOIT is a means to attack your machine, while a virus is the actual
attack program. This is potentially more dangerous than a specific virus.
