i may as well add my .02....Acer would not be my first pick, last Xmas i got two of the cousins Acer lappys (media units, Core duo setups).
strange happenings later on, had to actually take possession of both units and do some heavy tweaking to get rid of the problems (mostly caused by ACER bloatware).....and, after days of hair pulling and internet research, finally figured out the sound and HD performance problems, i felt responsible since i recommended the units..........
that Sony looks so much better.....
