Is it a multi-pin connector?If so ,how many pins?is it square or rectangular or circular?or a Two Pole ,Cylindrical plug?Depending on how in touch with the electronic side of things you are;you could always remove the cover and try and deduce what connection pins ,are relevant to.There,s going to be at least one main power feed and a ground [return] connection.The main power feed will usually have an electrolytic capacitor for filtering and stabilising ,near where your main power feed connects to the board.[thats how to identify the main power feed]The board might even have a piece of text on it eg 12V [12 volts]as with any other wires on the connector,where they connect to the board may have text, that gives you a clue as to what it does.
