well, all i think you have to do is compare performance, then make up your mind.
that 9600 Pro unlocked and clocked (omega driver package) is still very viable.
have you done research into comparative performance at all. i stopped the Nvidia wagon with the 4200/4600 series....
i seem to remember that Nvidia was putting out some crud in the 6000 series cards, something to consider.........
