Nope but WD did aquire Komag for a cool Billion US$ a few weeks ago...Komag will fill a tech gap because its media products are the part of a hard-disk on which data is stored and WD already owns the products used to write data when it bought bankrupt Read-Rite a few yrs back for it's recording heads
Komag also supply goods for Seagate and Hitachi.
