Play on #'s...both are the same... Just like DDR Mem set @ 200FSB can also claim 400 speeds...
1000mhz is the figure like Dual Data Rate (DDR) memory. Take DDR400. It runs at 200mhz so 1000mhz on rise and fall of signal OR x2. Which claims 2000mhz. The raw speed IS 1000mhz.

They both have the same HT speed just have different default #'s.

Confusing and gets me everytime as well and why Im not good at disecting matters cause even HT comes in many forms (1.0,1.12,2.0,3.0)
