Aside from the cache, I have been noticing that Opterons are advertised as 1000MHz HT while the X2s say 2000MHz HT, which has me a bit confused.
On my motherboard (EPoX 9NPA3ULTRA) I can set HT at 5X with FSB at 200MHz, and I end up with HT at 1000MHz as far as I can tell. Yet my AMD64 3200+ is also advertised as 2000MHz HT.
So I am wondering what these numbers really mean and if the X2 has an advantage over the Opteron as far as HT. Thanks.
