Here's a case I found online last night. The dealer specializes in quiet components.

I was thinking about this case and:

A while back I was getting recommendations to avoid WD hard drives even though I'd used them for years. Anthing like that going around at the moment?

and one of the Zalman quiet fans depending upon which CPU I end up with:

Also they seem to indicate round cables will help with air flow, which seems logical, and they are inexpensive enough.

The case is the high cost item here. Do you think it's necessary to accomplish the goal?

Thanks for the suggestion of a modest CPU....I can see the importance of that. Which would be better, a slightly faster P4 or a somewhat slower dual core? Both for performance (curious about that) and heat.
