-----It was one more Microsoft executive's comment before a small gathering that took a few days to germinate, and then to erupt: According to transcripts, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, referring to his company's recent agreement with Novell, told a SQL Server conference last Thursday that Novell has "appropriately compensated Microsoft for our intellectual property, which is important to us...[because] in a sense, you could say that anybody who has got Linux in their data center today sort of has an undisclosed balance sheet liability, because it's not just Microsoft patents."-------
.
Balmy Balmer--better start suing Ken Thomson for "Prior art" and UniX. He has about as much claim.
And Windurs looks more like linux or Mac OS ; every Version,.And didn,t MSdos come from Qdos, a blatant UNIX rip.[according to the origonal author].Bill never actually programmed it,just aquired the right of ownership. No wonder they pursue perverse "licensing contentions" and claims to copyright and ownership.their whole existence is based on a fraudulent misrepresentation of their DOS system;and dubious legal right to existence.they bought[knowingly]a ripped off OS.
Bying an illegal product, disguised as a legal one ;does not make it legal.
It,s like buying a copied CD,knowing the contents have been reproduced[wholly or partially]illegally.
Or claiming copyright for a song you changed the words or tune ,of ;slightly.
