I can buy blank DVD,s for about 30>50cents Aus.
Blank CD,s 15cents Aus.To produce a stamped copy is a lot cheaper than producing a recordable blank.
In OZ yer average latest release or from an established catalogue[Beatles, floyd, bowie, etc.]cost
thirty dollars or more; The same is true for Videos. It,s not hard to see that "record companies are making massive profits and have been ever since the introduction of CD,s."
IT,s figures like this that probably fuel the copying of such items.[And hence copyright violation]
I can buy a CD burner and blanks cheaper than a single "comercially" produced disk. When companies advertise "RIP,BURN in xx-seconds using our CD,s./burners,

I make my own recordings and always have
but the amount of people that do are a minority.and MOST people use their devices for "illegal copying".
