about 10 cents a piece. I still read the earlier quote as to mean the companies who do the back-ups professionally rather than a private person. I mean, just as an example having a CD in your car ... so it wears and scratches and who going to replace it if it becomes unplayable?

I think there would be enough grounds to fight whatever "artificial" laws are being introduced or else forcing the publisher to replace a defective / worn copy if they object to proper preventive measures as they have been established decades ago.

Again, I am not a legal expert on Australian copyright and this is just meant as food for thought.
