Saturday my wifes cimputer doesnt boot first time & doesnt stay running for more then 4 hours.
Sunday I get up & read a game forums & when I woke up some more I went into a game 3 minutes later my computer shut down. I got 1 long beep & like 9 short fast beeps. I quick change of the video card & my computer starts working thou real slow. So I check out local stores online & goto comp usa check out the two $150 cards a nvidia 7600 & an ati 1600 both with 512 MB of ram & both AGP. Thinking about the speed I then check my notes. I ended up at best buy & bought a x1900 GT with 256 MB of ram for $250 yes its PCI-E but my mother board can handle that after I turned a chipset heatsink. The 1900 just was the best bang for the money I could find everything else was to cheap or expensive. BTW it is cross fire able. At comp usa the sales guy mentioned he had had only one 1900 in store & is long gone.
Today monday I worked on my wifes computer trying to get the HD cloned XP NTFS & working. The first HD the computer would not see LoL. The next HD I still had to work with to get it going, WD picky strange jumper settings. The first time it did not boot, restore or repair.
The second time at night I got it working & its all back together now. Alot of other things happened inbetween thou I didnt want to bore ya to much. Used ghost 2002 & 12 GB on a 20 GB HD cloned to a 80 GB HD.
