Advanced Host Controller Interface.. something that makes your hard disk interface work better but requires specific drivers. Some of the AHCI controllers work in sigle drive mode, others support single drives and several forms of RAID including Matrix RAID and RAID morphing. Some older versions only supported RAID but not a single drive configuration. |
