Besides the fact the 800 series was so late to the game that ATI had to turn around & bring there next generation GPU out in less then two months just to compete.
Besides the fact the 7800 way out did the old 6800. See I have a 6800 NU = only 12 pipes verses the 16 pipes in the 6800 ultra. So the 7800 made me cry, LoL. We each seem to have a different spin on the history because of the camp we hang in :>)
So I wonder it AGP is dead or is the next gen GPU still going to fit into the AGP ?.

BTW back with the 6800 shader 3.0 was important to me & even the 800 series does not cover it. Thou now ATI has that HD (H264 or what ever its called) built in which is a big plus.
