It has 2 IDE's but 1 xtra PATA for Promise Raid and works of the Slave Master Combo...I would have thogh this provides a perfomance hit ...so I guess SATA raid would be the better option.

SO I can just try yo hook up an IDE, enable the RAID controller but dont raid in the BIOS....

will give it a go.

how much would I pay for a SATA to PATA and would this still provide PATA speeds or take a >10% hit also?
