but what kind of computer did you get? I had to buy an HP laptop with an AMD Turion 64 CPU and that thing blew chunks but after deleting about 15 GB worth of junk and malware from the HDD it is getting up to speed now.

Also, short of the upcoming Intel Conroe CPUs, there is nothing better out there than the AMD 64 ... maybe some of the Itanium2 are better in some applications or the HP dual core RISC processors for server applications but those are also about 50x the price point.
