These were run on the second partition which is XP HE with service pack 2 thou orginally installed without SP1 yet, different ?.
I ran there test on XP & claimed SP2 did not need 48 LBA was auto.
98 = FAT 32 52 GB First partition
XP = TYPE 07 101 GB Second partition
98 50 GB FAT 32 LBA
XP 99 GB FS: FAT 32 Partition: 0x7 (NTFS, HPFS)
I did notice the # 7 & figured it was normal for this type of setup thou now I am not so sure.
The strange thing is on the backup HD I could not get the software to copy so to help it out I set the partition by hand to see if it would help the backing up & I got the XP partition to FAT 32 only without the # 7 in there. That website has lots of info still digging thou I have not seen my exact setup error.
Basicly the HD I am backing up works fine, its problems were from changing video cards twice & the win 98 had unchained sectors.
I do have the need now to run two different WIN XP's, one on the old system & one on the new system.
