That MB uses both EDO and SD-RAM memory but SD-RAM memory is not full suported by the chipset.
Older motherboards only suports 3 banks of RAM and remain stable. If you have 2 64MB DIMM's with 8 chips on each side it will be a total of 4 banks, and I will get a MB with a odd behavior.
Try to put only one 64MB DIMM and see if it dose the same.
