You been livin in a cave, LoL. The limit of speed & heat has basicly been hit with current process's & like LED said speed is being measured in a different way & no the second core & third + fourth cores speeds will not be added in. Only more work will be done pure clock cycle In fact intel is coming out with an AMD type CPU this year based on power not on speed which will badly beat AMD's current best, or so thier story goes. The only way speed could get back into the game if a new great material is found to make semi conductors or intergraded circuits on that can handle or get rid of the heat fast & circuits that take advantage of the effects of quamtom (bad spelling) physics. Now morse's law should work around 10 years more with current work arounds (fix's). The transistors that are used for certain circuits is another way they will refine & get more speed or & use less power. So it is a whole new world for electronics & computers & I cant wait for what the future holds cause ya got to figure it's going to be good.
