That can only be done with a piece of third party hardware or software acting as an intermediary. That's a good solution for some tasks but NOT for gaming -- the experience will be severely hindered by the rate of data transfer over the network and secondary processing on the laptop, regardless of how fast either machine is alone.

One thing that can help, especially if you have a high-definition television in the living room, is to run the computer's display to the TV and then add a wireless mouse/keyboard set.
