Could be a few reasons...But most likely confused the PuterBrain
Even if each Slot will hold 1 Gig doesn't mean it'll the 4 slots will run Dual Channel even if the RAM is the Same Manu/Type. They are sold in Packs of 2 for Dual channel...You actual purchased 2 Packs separate packs...System prolly got confused as well with so much RAM and 4 Sticks What you did was going to be my next call because it's usually best to install Windows with the bare minimum (Mobo/CPU/RAM/Vid Card) then add on after with the newest drivers.

After you get things going then you can add the 2 sticks back in and reconfig the RAM but it most likely won't run @ 1T

When you get it all set I'd appreciate it if you can post some #'s and let us know how she's running. I'm especially curious if the Mobo running in SLI will also act as to seperate Vid cards.

I'm using Speed Fan to monitor everything in Windows and beleve that it supports your mobo with the new Ali chipset so you might want to install it...also @TL is another powerful tool for OCing that I belive works on the new chipset as well but not positive!
