Well b...been doing some reading up on the matter and have a few thoughts and info on the subject.

1st off as you know th most important factrs involved are:
The amount of RAM stick size (nowadays 1 Gig Min seems to be it)

The PCB that the quality chips are put on makes a big difference on performance.

The OCing ability and scaling in #'s (ie.CAS,Ras to Cas, Tras)which I'm no expert on.

Finally and most important is QC,Customer Service, Warranty...etc

Now my Commarades from the likes of Micro Center and local shops around here yell up and down that THIS and the above factors are what make OCZ shine over the others along with Crucial.

I haven't seen all the sticks in action and can not comment on all the other Manus but do know that OCZ and Crucial are easy to communicate with and back their #'s and figures published or will make it right and quickly with no hold up...I will soon know about G.Skill and have had minimum hang-up with Corsair.

Now Kingston wanted an original receipt on their stuff even though it clearly states Lifetime warranty and Mushkin held me up once...I mean sure maybe the intent is for the original purchaser but damn they have their name on it!

Same chips can be put together by different Manus but if the PCB and placement are not of high quality then there are bad results and worse yet if the Manus don't test their sticks how the hell do they know what they'll do?

Back to which OCZ to get...well ! gig sticks and depending on how much v's can be pushed.
HERE's one nice Chart by PC Stats which shows the OCZ Platinum PC4800 to be wicked along with the PC 4000 Gold in 512 sticks but the link @ the egg sure makes me smile to see those DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Platinum System Memory for under $165 AR for 2-1 Gig Sticks Bradduh and on down the line. I mean holy smokes pick any of the low voltage Cas2 sticks and hit review with Google and the results are pleasing...new terriotory with lrger RAM size sticks OCZ's lifetime warranty with room (+5%) added v's and there \customer \service nowaday...Grinn man Grin....

No gamer so IMO it's like the Metal

Plats, Gold, then Tit's The gold's newest Rev some say but man I like the Plats and EL series...

Lost my Wind!!!
