You can forget about it if you are expecting no lag running USB Low-Speed or even Full-speed. Assuming you want portability along with these desires then there's a few ways to go:
PCMCIA card with USB Hi-Speed then got with the Drive:
Or go the route with Firewire then if you have a DV Camera you'll have that angle covered as well.

If portability is not a priority then consider going with a larger Drive or a DVD Burner which is close to 5 Giggies anyhoots!
