I'm looking into some portable storage devices that I can store mp3's, video files, and other data on.
I came across this usb 2.0 seagate 5gb hard drive with a built in usb wire connector.
While I've read reviews that say it's fast enough to play music and movies straight from it just fine, here's what I'm wondering: My laptop only has a usb 1.1 port. What's the likelihood that I'll be able to play the videos straight from the drive without lagging? For that matter, how about with a 2gb flash drive on usb1.1?
