When getting a Monitor or whatever the (dot pitch) is or was the proper scale, the smaller the dot the better the sharpness. As you stated most people will not even know this stuff & there has always been crooks, they dont last long. To me hard is LCD, like my wife bought me a samsung 930b for xmas. She stated to the sales person he's a gamer & this monitor along with a dell was recommended. A good monitor but the draw back to me is the refresh rate which seems to be low at 75 Hz, I would like to see around 120 Hz standard. Most days I spend 12 hours or more looking at my monitor & some people get headaches with refresh rates this low. Besides my eyes dont work as good as they use to, ya I got scrip glasses but my eyes get tired at night.
BTW some old TV shows has the old rounder TV tubes as I am not older then dirt yet :>)
