VIA is about 10 x as big as ATI, there is no way ATI could acquire them. But VIA needs some help with their graphics and AIT would be in a good position to do that, on the other hand, even if VIA does not have a cutting edge chipset at hand right now, they have years of experience in this area - after all, weren't they market leader only some 3 years ago?

All in all, a collaboration between the two would open up an entire wealth of possibilities for both companies.

SIS are not bad except that their math is "according to SIS". They had one good chipset with the 645 but those were the days and there was no follow-up.
