AMD motherboards etal

well, it has been another year, a year that saw AMD make some major gains.

maybe one of these days a chipset will appear that attends to all the little quirks that still plague the boards.

here is a quick rundown.

NF4>still reports of data corruption, Sata probs and onboard lan flakeiness

VIA>just about there, but not quite.

ULI>very promising, but still in need of improvement, although, i will say i am impressed with this chipset (up to 275FSB)

ATI>brand new, has potential, still frought with bios problems and little things not working

so, as the new year approaches, my wish is that the chipset quirks be gone, banished.

with AMD going to the 333 FSB as standard, this has to be worked out, or too many compromises will have to be made on the MB to acommodate the higher, stock bus speeds.
