Dam they should have at least have gotten you a network card. Thats a shame about the splitter as I am sure at the end of the day, week, month they get throw out, but splitters that have been outside have a habit of getting dirty & causing problems. Reseating cleaning & WD 40 fix's it thou. That reminds me of I used an old splitter of mine for the living room TV, VCR & Cable Box I had & it worked for along time . Two months after updating to digital cable like 10 channels stopped working & or just looked awlful. A different cable guy comes back & traces the problem down to my splitter which it turns out was not made for that high of a frequency (digital service)(one point here) old splitters can cause other problems to. The repair guy wanted so bad to get rid of the splitter he starts telling me why would you want or need the xtra lines for. So I explained it to him & that they were needed (more long boring story) he did not like it repair unlike installers must need a good reason to fix something this but he coughed up a bright new splitter & its worked fine for along time so far.
