I understand that on the athlon 64 platform, the memory is asyncrounous from hypertransport and cpu. Does this imply that the ram can remain at a certain speed (ie. 333mhz, or 400mhz) while one only needs to adjust hypertransport and cpu with various LDT mutiplers to find the CPU's overclocking ceiling? Or does ram speed have to be set at a certain fraction of either hypertransport or cpu speed?

Sorry, haven't owned a Athlon 64 yet, just doing research by asking dumb questions.
