Cigarettes are made out of Burley tobacco. Burley is air cured. Flue cured is blended with Burley with some oriental tobacco to make blended cigarettes. The burley plant produces 3 grades, flyings, middles and reds. Red leaf contains the most nicotine. But you can grow your own plants from seed and hang it on sticks and strip it out and smoke it. Knew several that just grew burley to make cigarettes out of.

Dark fired is smoked in a barn, stripped and then
the tobacco manufacturer washes it and cures it for
a couple of years more I think before it is processed into chewing tobacco or snuff. If it's good enough some makes wrapers for cigars.

One sucker is an air cured dark tobacco that I'm not sure what it is used for. Probably blended with something to make chewing tobacco or pipe tobacco.

Sonny used to smoke Winchesters when he did smoke.
Which were more little cigars than cigarettes.
