just to clarify things, the battery eliminator is a generic 12v car(and should be if specs are right suitable for my laptop) adaptor. The problem I have is that there is no sign where the powercord plugs into the laptop on the side of notebook saying which is which ie + on inner and - on outside or if it's the other way around? must get this right otherwise I'll burn a few curcuits,
