LOL...already th Hackers are going to town...
>The Beta hasn't been long with us, and already Austrian hackers are publishing possible Vista exploits that take advantage of the command shell of Redmond's new wunder-OS:

Virus writers are working on ways of hacking Microsoft's new operating system known as Windows Vista.

An Austrian programmer has published examples of malicious code that exploits loopholes in technology which could be part of Vista.

The viruses affect Microsoft's command shell technology which is expected to replace DOS in Windows.

Vista, previously codenamed Longhorn, is due for release towards the end of 2006, half a decade after Windows XP.

More from the Beeb here.

Well that's a comforting thought, isn't it. Picture the scene: End of 2006 - You'll be just finishing off your Vista install, and BANG! You're hit with half a dozen viruses that have been lying in wait for you. Nice.

Of course, these are possible exploits - but if one thing's for certain, in the land of the virus, possible always becomes probable and then mutates into the inevitable.
