Thats a weird way of handling a CPU it doesnt understand yet. I do believe there's more of a difference between the CPU's then just a speed bump involved here thou I cant remember what they was. As my stepsons old gateway P4 was in that area. Ya look for update at HP's website you should be able to flash the BIOS to handle the newer CPU.
