Checking out your specks & that seems to be a gaming computor & I would advise you consider spending alittle bit more on the video card. The 6600 is an 8 pipelines which is not that powerfull of a GPU & the 6800 GT is a 12 pipe the better ones are 16 pipes & both of these are very powerfull GPU. I recommend the 6800 GT TDH at least & thats what I got for my Bday near the end of may. Its nice getting what you really :>)
Wow the new video cards are out but the old ones are still around the same price at newegg. I ended up with a leadtek A400 6800 GT TDH 256 MB huge copper HS so if I want to OC I can do it, but my system is AGP. Another thing I just noticed is there is no savings cost any more now to go with a PCIe (what the heck) there was a big differnce before PCIe would save you $30 - $80. I guess you would have to jump on a great deal at the right time, someone dumping there old brand. Another thing is the 6800's do suck more power (bigger PSU) but will carry you over into the future well.
My system is backwards to yours I a slower & weaker system only a 2800+ semprom (long story here) & I played doom 3 = not much lag I had the settings turned all the way up. Half Life 2 worked great & I still play its Counter Strike with Multi player online.
