Hi everyone, good to see this board active again, iuts been quite some time since I visited here, but last couple checks it seemed quite dead. So I was checking one of my older junk mail accounts, and saw something that wasnt quite spam, cpu-central was back! I wasnt a very regular poster, but I was here and always loved the advice some of the people gave, a very great place indeed.

Now, to keep this somewhat on topic, Im building a new computer, planning on an AMD 64 3000 939 pin Venice core, 1 gig of DDR400, DFI Lanparty non-sli nforce4 mobo with a geforce 6600gt, and that puts me up to about $500 on the budget-o-meter, leaving me with about $100 or so in the works for a case/psu. Now, I've looked newegg all up and down and it hasnt done me any good, too many choices, and not enough info about the guts of any of the power supplies. So, would I be better off trying to find a decent looking case for about $40, and then try to weasel my way in with a $60 psu, seems like I could get 400, maybe 450 watts with decent rails at that price, or does someone around here know of a decent combo? If the case had a window, that would be kind of nice, I decided on the DFI board partly for the OC abilities, and partly because those UV reactive connectors should look cool Well, thats my question, any thoughts? Thanks, hope to check in around here a bit more often now!
