I believe you will find a refrig or some kind of motor device on your AC wall plug. In your case I would add a new line for computer & stuff only. I at least recommend even a cheap surge protector if not a full blown UPS.
With my experience with PSU's (long story), bigger is better & I am sure a P4 3.4 GHz eats much juice so I recommend a larger PSU or use two PSU's the 400 watter for the MoBo & the 300 watter for the rest.
Long story I had a 2400+ GHz AMD & a 300 watt Antec PSU (suppossed to be a good PSU) & the PSU chewed up two MoBo's & another CPU before I got wise. I now have a 430 watt PSU.
