Yes - first thing people will tell me is you should have disconnected the other drive....yes - I know that....but....

I repartitioned a disk and deleted all the partitions -resized them - but didnt change the number or drive letters.....

rebooted and my other drive )of course this is where I backed everything up) was unpartioned....huh!....I didnt change that...of course it's something you'd remember cause you have to select the "change fixed disk" option in FDISK....

So how is it so and is there any chance of recovering it?

I am not touching that disk until all ope has faded - but my intuition is telling me - chances are not very good at this stage.

PS - I have Norton Utilities and set it off on it's merry way with Disk Doctor - but it seemed to just sit there for many minutes .....so I cancelled it - other than giving it another try for an hour or so - I cant htink of anything else....TIA
