I've had to reinstall WinXP for the umpteenth time this week. I did some more research. Not only does the A8N SLI hate the Plextor SATA drive, it also hates the Maxtor Diamond 10. I've read reports on A8N and MSI's Neo SLI mobos. The Maxtor SATA is a dog. Woof. I just went to Best Buy and picked up a Western Digital 300GB and Plextor DVD burner. Both are regular ATA. No issues at all.
