Here's a Balmer quote ripped from an Inquirer article.

"Last year, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer called for the industry to come up with a sub-$100 PC, with the idea that anyone paying that little for their hardware isn’t going to begrudge shelling out for legal software. As yet there have been no takers in the hardware community."

I wonder why the hardware community doesn't want to give up anymore of their slim profit margins just so MS can stuff their overflowing pockets?
