if the bent case torqued the motherboard PCB (or the graphics card if you're using an external board), it could have easily weakend or damaged the connections to any BGA chips (Northbridge, many Southbridges, video card GPU, some graphics memory chips, etc). So there is a possibility of component failure

You should have something like $100 insurance automatically on any FedEx package IIRC, or more if you asked for it (and paid the additional premium). If nothing else, file the claim as LED said, and maybe you'll at least get the cost of the case back.

FWIW, FedEx once wiped out a clock my dad had ordered, Italian-style. Looked like the forklift had hit it at least twice (In the future, I can highly recommend USPS Priority Mail whenever possible...)
